Where It All Began
The AOL Era of Curiosity
Tech obsession started with finding notepad scripts on AOL chat boards. Costing my mother a fortune in computer repair bills. Getting those cool solitaire animations on desktop icons when people would click them. Breaking the family computer at least once was a rite of passage. This curiosity, this need to understand how things work, is how UbiShip was truly founded.
Military Service Begins
Canadian Armed Forces
Our founders started their journey in the Canadian Armed Forces, developing leadership skills and learning surveillance & targeting systems and some other interesting skills. This experience taught discipline, adaptability, and the importance of reliable systems and approaches.
Tech Journey Intensifies
Full-Stack Development at UNB
While serving in the military, began studying software development at the University of New Brunswick. Built WSU, an investing platform for a private equity fund, gaining real-world experience. Balancing military service, intensive coding education, and client projects - really pushing our limits to succeed. Learning everything from system architecture to modern web frameworks while delivering production systems.

Birth of UbiShip
After successfully delivering the WSU platform and other production systems while still serving and studying, we realized we could do this better. Founded UbiShip to solve real problems for Canadian businesses. Years of juggling military service, education, and real client work taught us how to deliver under pressure. No more cookie-cutter solutions or overpriced consultants - just battle-tested development from people who understand what it means to push limits.
